"Our Future is a Forest": Second Nature’s Winning Entry in The Resilient Campus design competition.

The exhibition at University at Buffalo

We're proud to share that our team is one of three winning teams in The Resilient Campus, an international design competition hosted by the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning!

We were fortunate to collaborate with amazing designers — EinwillerKuehl Landscape Architecture, Model of Architecture Serving Society (MASS), and SITELAB urban studio — with ecology playing a central role in the design.

In our proposal, ecology is not one layer of a resilient campus; it is the lens through which everything else comes into focus. The Forest is the backbone infrastructure for imagination: imagining wildlife, student life, new connections to East Buffalo and beyond, and regenerative futures and construction methods. The proposal looks to repair balance and provides a vision for resilient growth at the U at Buffalo's South Campus.
