Second Nature scientists contribute to Urban Biodiversity and Equity, a new book from Oxford University Press

Urban Biodiversity and Equity: Justice-Centered Conservation in Cities is the first text to advance justice-centered biodiversity conservation in cities, demonstrating the necessity of, and tools for simultaneously addressing social inequities and biodiversity conservation. This comprehensive yet accessible book provides the essential details of how scientists, policy makers, and practitioners develop solutions to effectively manage urban biodiversity. 

Second Nature Consulting Ecologist Max Lambert co-edited the volume with UC Berkeley professor Christopher Schell, while Director of Science Erica Spotswood is lead author for the chapter “Developing a Toolbox for Urban Biodiversity Conservation.”
