Meadowall Community Event

July 2025

Second Nature  Ecologist Emily Erickson joined our Habitat Horticulture collaborators at a community event for our biodiversity-oriented living wall. It was great fun to show the beautiful native annual wildflowers and pollinators to curious passersby on the Berkeley Greenway.

It’s exciting to test this readily-deployable, lower-cost ecological system for dense urban settings with little space on the ground. And amazing to see the ecological and social activation of a previously barren stretch of sidewalk and fencing.
